On Monday June 8th, The Adult Learning and Leadership Network @ Teachers College, Columbia University hosted  Dr. Stephen Brookfield, an international expert in the areas of adult learning, adult teaching, critical thinking, discussion methods, critical theory as well as critical pedagogy and teaching race delivered a powerful and hard hitting virtual presentation to Adult Learning and Leadership students, alums, and the extended community.

Highlights: He started by outlining core assumptions that guide critical theory and its application via critical thinking; provided a degree of conceptual clarity on an often emotional charged and misunderstood phrase: "White Supremacy;" and importantly, he concluded his remarks by sharing approaches for engaging in work for race talk!
