Interests In Executive and Organizational Coaching

I am energized by the possibilities enhanced by Coaching in significantly improving individual and organization performance, overall well-being, and potentially even leading to effective changes at the socio-political, cultural and economic levels domestically in the U.S. & globally. My specific interests at present are focusing on the higher education to workplace transition and seeking to understanding coaching competencies can be implemented in this setting & population to foster improved performance and well-being for both the college graduate and hiring organization.

Formal Coach Education and/or Training

No formal education or training. However, I have taken several Adult Learning & Leadership (ORLD) courses as a graduate student at Teachers College. The courses of Emotional Intelligence (EQ), Social Intelligence (SQ) and the Critical Thinkers Workshop provided a substantial knowledge base and methods to assess comprehension, most notably through assessments like the EQ-i 2.0, Personal Listening Profile (PLP), and evaluation of results through the ORID (Objective, Reflective, Interpretive, Decisional) framework with professional coach/professor and peer coaching instruction. I have been able to successfully apply key learning insights and education gained through the ORLD courses and independent research in my current job role to effectively improve personal and professional objectives for various stakeholders I regularly engage with including students, employers and fellow colleagues. I also engendered two proposal workshops to be implemented using the EQ-i 2.0 and PLP to effectively help students foster increased self-awareness and self-understanding to better inform their motivations and career decisions upon being immersed in the very rigorous, competitive On-Campus Interview Program. Integral to achieving professional success and workplace performance is personal well-being. At the core of personal well-being and sustainable success in work and personal life is awareness and understanding of oneself.
